How does AutoDJ work?
AutoDJ (automatic playlist playback) plays your uploaded music, jingles and station IDs on the schedule you set, 24 hours a day, so your station stays on air when nobody is live. When a DJ connects, the live show takes over, and AutoDJ picks up again when they disconnect.
How do I go live?
Use the Web DJ in your browser, or connect the broadcasting software you already use over Icecast (an open source streaming server protocol). Every plan includes DJ accounts and AutoDJ. Icecast documentation
Which stream formats and bitrates are supported?
Radiocast streams in MP3 and AAC, plus HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) on Small Business and above. Professional, Small Business and Radiocast Max include up to 5 stream outputs (mounts, each its own stream URL) at up to 192kbps. Enterprise and Reseller go up to 320kbps.
Are there bandwidth limits?
No. No plan has a bandwidth or monthly data transfer cap. Plans are sized by concurrent listeners and music storage, from 100 listeners and 10GB at $5.99/mo.
What is included with Radiocast Max?
Radiocast Max ($19.99/mo) is the full suite: hosting for up to 500 concurrent listeners with 75GB of music storage, AirChain sound processing, a Radiocast Sites station website, and 500,000 Reporter credits a month.
How do Reporter credits work?
Reporter credits are counted in characters: each character of a voiced news, weather or sponsor script uses one credit. Small Business includes 100,000 credits a month and Radiocast Max includes 500,000. Enterprise and Reseller allotments are set in a custom agreement.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
Yes. Small Business, Radiocast Max and any hosting plan from $8.99/mo are covered by the Radiocast Promise and Service Level Agreement, which reviews eligible outages over five minutes for compensation. Read the Radiocast Promise
